I know people that own bodybuggs and highly recommend them, but I decided to go with gowear fit due to its sleep features. I was disappointed almost as soon as it was out of the box.
1) The armband was too small. I believe I will be able to trade with one of my friends since the bodybugg ships with both a smaller and a larger armband. But the gowear fit only comes with one size (the smaller one). Replacements are $10 on their site, but they want to charge $10 shipping on top of that. And amazon doesn't sell them. So add $20 to the cost of this item (plus some annoyance and effort) if you have large arms. Gowear really ought to include both sizes in the package like bodybugg does. Or offer a choice of armband size. Or at the very least they could allow an exchange for a different size. Or sell the other sized armbands on amazon so they don't have to be purchased and shipped separately. Or charge a more reasonable price for something that will fit in a standard mailing envelope (i.e. less than $10 shipping).
2) I ordered this along with the GoWear display, since my friends that use the bodybugg highly recommended the display. The display that arrived was defective --the "light" button that lights up the display didn't work. Sure, it could be worse, but given its price I expect it to work flawlessly. On the plus side amazon is sending me a replacement. But I am very disappointed in gowear's quality control.
Other than that the product seems to work. I am crossing my fingers that nothing else will go wrong with it.
***update 8/10/09: The replacement amazon shipped me arrived today, and the light button works, but there's a crack in the screen! Sending this (the second one) back as well. What a disappointment.
