I have had the armband and wrist display for 5 weeks now. I have been wearing the armband for 23+ hours per day and logging all food to the website.
The good:
- If you are not moving your body or eating properly you will see that with these tools.
The bad:
- The wrist display is dainty. I think it looks feminine and I will not wear it - ever.
- The website collects all your data and you are really limited to what you can do with it. You cannot export your data or tag periods of time with your exercise information. So going back historically is useless. All you get to see is the daily totals. Boring...
- The website graphs are junk. You cannot control their behavior. If they would add axis sliders it would be a great improvement.
- Here's my biggest complaint so far: The armband does not calculate your caloric burn accurately. The website doesn't tell you this before buying it. I compared the results from biking and rowing to what the website says I did. The website was off by 30% or more. I contacted GoWear fit's support about the discrepancy. Their response "we recommend that you remove the armband during the specific exercise and manually enter the (caloric) calculation into your summary after you are finished." Great...
My enthusiasm for the product is rapidly diminishing. I had hopes of using this as a tool to help improve my training and instead I have to do more work manually because the product cannot do what it is supposed to do.Get more detail about GoWear fit Lifestyle and Calorie Management System.
